PERHAM BAPTIST CHURCH

Our Pastor

Pastor Dave Goupille was born to church planting parents in Fort Kent, ME in 1962. He grew up watching the Lord do amazing things in the lives of ordinary people. As his Dad faithfully preached, taught, and lived out the gospel message, lives were transformed. His Mom faithfully and steadily lived out the same truth in many ways as well.

While he’d made a profession of faith at a young age, Dave believes that it was when he was 16, that the gospel really gripped his heart and he understood that the Lord Jesus had done all that was necessary for him to be saved.

After graduation from high school, Dave attended New Brunswick Bible Institute, graduating in 1984. Dave married his high school sweetheart, Lisa (Violette) in the same year. For 7 years, Dave worked in retail management. Lisa manned the fort at home and worked at raising two sons and a daughter.

In 1991, the Washington Street Baptist Church in Eastport, ME called Dave to be their Pastor and the Goupilles served there until 1998. Dave served State Street Baptist Church in Presque Isle, ME as Associate Pastor from 1998 to 2000, and accepted a call to pastor at Perham Baptist Church in June of 2000. He feels that after the blessing of his family, shepherding the flock at Perham is the greatest privilege of his life.

Pastor Dave was ordained in 2002 and holds a Bachelor of Theology from Covington Theological Seminary. Along with pastoring in Perham, he serves on the Board of Directors at New Brunswick Bible Institute and teaches Expository Preaching at NBBI.

Dave and Lisa have 3 married children, Josh and Stef, Ben and Lydia, and Kristen and Tony. They also have 5 delightful grandchildren, Aiden, Clara, Josiah, Fernona, and Abigail.

In his spare time, Pastor Dave likes to spend time with his family, hunt and fish, ride his four wheeler, and follow all the Boston sports teams.
